at the end of the day, choices you make determine your path. people may try to push you, run you over or boost you.. but at the end of the day whether you let them to do so is really up to you. on another note, remember not to be too focused on how other people might react or think about you.. all in all, if you aren't comfortable in your own skin, what is the point at all. life is a solo trip surrounded by people and what not but you are your own driver.
