yes this is an update of my life.
tomorrow marks the first day of the last semester of my last year as an undergraduate. thankfully i got all the modules i wanted in the timeslots that i prefer.. well, for now. there is still one more tutorial slot to be bided in a couple weeks' time. i will fight for the slot that i really want.
feels so surreal. it was like yesterday when i was struggling and thinking if i could make it through the 4 years of university in the statistics course. i mean a lot of people told me that this course isn't exactly a very pleasing and easy route.. plus given my record on results, i was rather worried and stressed about not making it initially. every resentful breath, every painstaking step has led me to where i am.. probably slightly better than where i expected myself to be at. am i satisfied? of course no, i still want to aim higher and step higher. hoping to end this journey on a high note. until next time then, cheers.

chilly
yes this is an update of my life.
well final semester begins in two days' time. still quite a few things to do before i am really ready for classes. first one being the most crucial one would be backing up my Dropbox files. my Dropbox memory space will be dropping from 27GB to 2.8GB in two days' time as well. apparently the campus cup competition thingy that granted me that extra amount of space is expiring soon.. real soon. got a few important files that i want to keep.. at the same time i still want to use that platform as a place for me to transfer stuff between my phone and computer, thus the needed urgency to clear or i will not be able to do so.
the next thing is also urgent but not as urgent as two days time limit. drafting out my thesis. i should have done so yesterday or at least that was how i planned to do so back on Wednesday. then i forgot that i signed up for the Science subcomm gathering event way way back. as a result, yesterday was totally spent on campus. speaking of which, my Uber ride costed a bomb.. but ohh wells, price of sleeping a little more.
finally, last thing is slightly urgent as well. packing and preparing to move back into campus. yeah i haven't start packing a single stuff to be brought back to my campus room yet. have to get started real soon. with tuition classes in weekends i am starting to see myself not having much of a rest this weekend. damn.
on another side note, what's up with this chilly weather? feels colder than Singapore usual coldest times. plus it is already middle of January. back in December, the weather was far from this chill. man weather is getting weirder and weirder each year. on the bright side, this saves electricity. i did not use the fan for last couple of days. and no aircon as well since the unit in my room has been down for quite a long time. until next time then, cheers.

long yet fruitful
yes this is an update of my life.
so yesterday was probably the most fruitful day of 2018 thus far. got to clear many pressing things and what not.
started the day by heading to campus to do proceed with the pre-check in procedure into campus stay. i wonder what is the point of them giving me the transponder when i am not allowed into my room until Sunday. nonetheless, since i was had to head to school for a meeting.. might as well. so yeah, cleared the check in part and so i can just move in all my things straight away on Sunday.
next, like i mentioned, was the meeting. meeting with my FYP mentor. finally ran through the doubts i have pertaining to the final results of my analysis.. managed to clarify how the report writing should be like as well. i can now proceed to focus on my writing before running through the draft with him again. set a personal target to finishing the entire draft by first week of February.
afternoon saw myself headed to Bras Basah Popular to get a assessment book for one of my tutees. why there of all places? well it is the biggest Popular outlet and it offers tons of choices and hence i can slowly pick out the best one out there. i did and even had afternoon tea as i planned my next steps in FYP. literally afternoon tea.. cup of tea cost $1.40.. daylight robbery but whatever.. needed the caffeine to push me through the rest of the day since i woke up earlier than i usually do on holidays.
went on to National Library to work on my FYP. got to say the security guard whom i met was pretty friendly. been a while since i really enter that place as well and i almost forgot how peaceful to be there. usually i don't study in aircon area for i fear falling asleep but the tea i had helped.. so yeah. headed to meet an old friend for dinner and a great catch-up thereafter. great way to end a long yet fruitful day.
well.. left couple more days to my winter break before final year final semester. shall aim to plan and pen out the flow and minor details of my FYP report so that i can start writing when the semester begins. cannot spend too much time on school work as well.. winter break needs enjoyment too. until next time then, cheers.
