mindreader

hi, i am a mindreader..

yeah right, please everyone knows i am not a mindreader but somehow more often than not i think everyone i talk to thinks i am. absurd? haha i think not.. maybe some of you might have experience the things i am about to share with you all. then you will know why exactly i use the term “mindreader”.

group decision making. the idea of this is to get everyone’s opinions and agreement to a common question or discussion. needless to say, collecting of ideas and opinions from everyone requires each and every person to actually open his/her mouth and voice out.. not quietly sitting one side and not say anything. in worse cases, the quiet person only knows how to grumble when a decision is made thereafter. so yeah, dear quiet person in the group, none of your friends are actually mindreaders you know. you have a voice for a reason as well. there are a couple of real situations i can relate you to so as to allow you to get a better picture.

imagine you all are out and deciding what to eat and where to eat. there are some who would keep quiet and some who would say they are alright with anything anywhere. thereafter, these are the people who would go “ehh.. actually i don’t want eat that” or “ehh choose elsewhere please”. don’t be stupid and voice out at least what you don’t want. voicing out can really save everyone’s time and trouble.

imagine you all are in a WhatsApp group discussing what you all should do say on a day of outing. you prompted the questions. no responses. you further listed suggestions. no responses. then like one day before the actual day.. some idiot will ask “so still on?” and then the group will spiral into confusion or probably postpone the entire outing. sounds silly when i actually put such things in words right? yeah sadly so.. you know there isn’t harm to give suggestions and what not. not saying anything will not bring us anywhere.

hitting all five

yes this is an update of my life.

so today finally concluded the first round of bidding for the NUS kids. i intended to get five modules through this round. the hassle of thinking how i should split my bid points was alright and guess what.. it is a huge relieved to be getting all the five modules i wanted. all at the timeslots i prefer and what not. left one more module to bid for later in the week.

so five confirmed modules now. plus the one i am bidding for later in the week and the other one they allocated to me, i will be taking 7 modules in all in this coming semester. ohh gosh, save me. be there any God or good spirits or whatever, grant me the strength and perseverance to press on through this hectic semester and to ace in all modules. yeah, that's me i strive my best for all.. not choosing which modules i should cut some slack and what not. this is because i know from past experiences, it will back fire big time.

time to get my study cap on real soon.. after the lecture weeks of course.. haha.
