the neighbourhood

everyone's primary schools are all nearby from where they live and of course, i was no exception. primary school was the six years where you foster the first few true life-long friendships. one get to start experiencing the life of a real student, having to juggle school work and CCA and luxury time. from then on, the load will the slowly increase in secondary school and poly/JC. primary school is where majority of your friends stay within 1km away from your house.

up to today i still stay in the house which i stay in when i was schooling in primary school. many of my primary school friends are as well. i realised this isn't exactly a bad thing but in fact this a rather interesting and good thing as well.

growing up after the primary school years, everyone venture into different secondary schools and some even travel over seas. despite the different lives we all live after the six years, at the end of the day we come home to a common neighbourhood. this is rather a blessing as once in a while, i would run into old friends and soon start chatting and catching. i see their parents too and one can also see, besides my parents, their parents are aging. well, i just guess this is all rather beautiful.

staying near to one another allows us to hang out once in a while for sports or meals or what not. we need not go through the hassle of finding a place to meet which is convenient for all of us for as we live in the same neighbourhood, the places we go can be decided quickly without much hassle of deciding which destination would not be a travel problem for all.

all in all, i'm glad i still remain here same as those years back then. i will always remain in the east.
