saturation point

yes this is an update of my life.

the past week has been quite a rollercoaster ride. mini shocks and fun times.. all in the past week. nonetheless, this weekend has been somewhat insufficient for my to cure my brain that was beyond the saturation point on Friday night. i can still feel there are things on mind that have yet to be "cleaned".

mini shocks. sometime in the middle of the week, while we were discussing on one of the projects i am working on, a can of worms was opened, sending few of us in a little panic. to be honest, i doubt the little panic is yet to be resolved entirely. the scarier thing is this could potentially affect another project. another mini shock was a last minute meeting/interview that i found out. thank goodness i was somewhat ready for it. nonetheless the short notice period isn't good for the mind and heart.. glad i handle as well as i could.

fun times. managed to unwind quite a bit on Friday night through teaching of mahjong to my fellow colleagues. really nice to see everyone having fun while picking up something really foreign to most of them, especially for those who are unfamiliar with the chines characters on the tiles. the past two days of weekend has been good as well. been productive and relaxing. of course, weekends are never enough at times.

a brief look forward revealed that this week will not be a monotonous ride. with existing mini shocks required to be dealt with, there are many things to look forward to. heading back to NUS for the Career Fest 2019 and reunion dinner with secondary school friends at the end of the week. 4 days work week before i am off for break through the CNY for a week. may my saturated brain heal. until next time then, cheers.

weak kids

came across yet another interesting article recently. this one is shorter than previous ones i shared. nonetheless still an interesting read on why kids these days might seem slightly weak. well, of course, this is a really bold generalisation. i would think, or maybe choose to believe for the sake of everyone, that this group is a minority. anyway, the link is here, enjoy reading.
