more rotten ones

few posts back, i related to some friends whom many of us have that are pretty much those who treat everything too lightly. they are the ones who always seem not so bothered in the friendship the parties shared. they are the ones who always seem to care less about almost everything. well, actually i had two more to add on from the four previously.

let me assure you all once again, i meant no personal attacks. all these examples are what i see around me. yes, some of my friends might be guilty of them but some are picked up from friends' friends. so take it easy when you all read.

5) Fresh Friends Entertainer: -
people who are under this group are those who love to keep the "latest" and "newest" friends. by that, i mean they would always love hanging out with those friends they met recently rather than those whom they know for years. they are willing to cancel appointments with the "older" friends just for their "newest" friends. nearly all effort and time will be invested on the "newest" friends. those "older" friends somehow become rather insignificant or forgotten.

6) Last Ditch Flyer: -
people who are under this group are those who will always alert the group who are about to meet on the last minute that they cannot make it. well, there are two sub-groups to this group as well. the first holds those who said they are alright and will be coming rather early but waited for the last few minutes to announce their departure. okay, if last minute stuff comes up, it's fine and it is appreciated to tell us day or two before. i doubt nothing that last minute would cock up unless death or crime is involved. the second holds those who kept quiet throughout the discussion of the date and time to meet and only said they cannot make it moments or hours before the meet-up. bitch please, nobody going to change to fit you now, especially when you chose to kept quiet all along. people from both sub-groups are pretty much those who love giving lame excuses in any situation possible.

okay, now i'm sure that's all for the bad friends talk. haha.. anyway, come to think about it, since i have this kind of shit to talk here, i should include something more positive someday. so yeah.. would love to talk about those cool good friends we have someday.

nope, you did not see the title wrongly nor did i spell it wrongly without realising it. in fact, that is exactly how i want to spell it. 

over the years, people around the world, including Singapore, have become more vocal as society insists all to be open and welcomed to the freedom of speech and what not. youths and young adults are especially vocal probably the problems they face tend to be more in numbers as they transit from being supported to being independent. nonetheless, not all face the same problems and concerns.

due to a greater changes in individual societies, which includes Singapore, the true identity is questioned. the true core and original identity is questioned as the lines between locals, permanent residents, foreign talent begin to blur.

many might have seen this video but if you have not, please take some time to do so. be open to the issues and comments raised. personally, i have to agree with some of her points. what defines a Singaporean today? where is Singapore heading towards?

don't get me wrong. i never said i am not proud to be a Singaporean. in fact, i am but still it is good if one remains open-minded to see views from others' eyes once in a while.
