yes this is an update of my life.
one week into the UK and also one week into Cambridge. definitely loving the cooler weather here as compared to back home. pace of life is pretty different here as well. though the weather is preferred here, i am pretty amused at how erotic it can be. it can be hot and sunshine in the first hour then pouring in the next before going back to hot and sunshine in the hour that follow. i think the comforting thing is that the rain will not be for long.. hence not ruining my plans over this past weekend.
managed to do punting (guided though not me doing the punting), explore numerous colleges in the university, wandered around museums, eating tons of good food. i guess (or rather i hope) i am spending well within my budget. judging from the cash i have in my wallet currently i would think so, hence that's a relief. good break this weekend despite some lingering worries from elsewhere. ready to take on another week, a more hectic week. until next time then, cheers.

longest flight
yes this is an update of my life.
onto the first update of my UK work/leisure trip then.. on the longest flight i have ever taken in my entire life so far.slight over 13 hours. thank goodness i managed to sleep most of the journey despite being a light sleeper. there were like 3 or 4 noisy babies seated within my vicinity plus the noisy flushes from the toilet. i guess these disturbances and rude awakening partly helped me in being able to fall back to sleep.
with me sleeping so much, the 13 hours felt a little quick. before i know it, i have arrived in London. the many changing of train lines soon follow. got to say while signs are generally clear.. the system here is rather messy and i need more getting used to. nonetheless, the first three weeks should not see me traveling a lot since i will be heading to work and my accommodations by foot only. speaking of which.. the first accommodation is cozy. quiet place.. quite a walk from things like supermarket and what not. nonetheless i think it is pretty cool overall. weather is good too. until next time then, cheers.

solo
yes this is an update on my life.
excuse my absence but i shall be more active these few days and will definitely explain my absence in the past couple of weeks. these few days i will be able to update more often as i am currently on my work/leisure trip to the UK. without bringing my personal laptop, i cannot really watch the shows that i follow. so apart from catching up on YouTube, here is the next place can really invest my time in.
okay, actually i will still need some time to plan my wandering around the UK as well but the point is i will definitely be able to be here more often until i head back to Singapore. stay tuned. until next time then, cheers.

life's hard
yes this is an update of my life.
threading in really deep waters these days with so much at times i wonder am i biting more than i can actually chew. i love challenges but maybe my brain has its limits to the amount i can on at a single point. on the brighter side, i will be heading to the UK in less than a month!
life's hard. not that i just realised but just got reminded that this is so. i consider myself as a realist and i accept the fact that there are always somethings that are definitely beyond what i can do. then it circles round back to whether putting in your best is enough and worth it. the endless internal debate soon follow. on one side, yeah no matter what put in your best and take the chances you get, something might turn out great. on the other side, doing that might be exhausting since more than half of the tries might be lead to a failure. then again among the successes, each success is usually better than expected. so.. yeah.. this.. cycle goes on.
for now, i am on the side on putting in my best no matter what. yeah, i admit some hits are quite painful but i don't think it is enough to give up. maybe i am part optimist after all. until next time then, cheers.
