solemn

yes this is an update of my life.

okay it is time to sit for the next few minutes, undistracted, blogging about my life. finally have the urge to say something here. first things first, i had a good news yesterday afternoon. remember quite a few posts back i mentioned about and internship that pays slightly less than i hope for and me heading to the interview for it? well, i got it. i got the offer. to be honest, i had really mixed feelings, though i think positive emotions triumph slightly over the negative ones.

let's say negative ones first. one, i was told during the interview that heavy knowledge of Microsoft Excel is needed for the internship. my knowledge on it isn't that great but nonetheless, internship is all about learning anyway. furthermore, i can crash course on it during the short break after the finals before starting in the internship. two, i don't know why i feel a little fearful about it. i understand the workload expected but in the end i still cannot really predict what will happen and what to really expect. i've heard horror stories from internships but i hope i don't myself into one. guess i have to wait until i really start doing work to find out. three, limited free time. considering the long working hours and the number of tuition classes i have to give.. 7 days probably will give me at most 1 day of rest. i really hope i can cope and juggle things that matter in my life well.

so, on to the positive side. one, experience and learning. i have always been rather curious and excited about how what i am studying can be used in the outside world. i guess this will be an introduction and first step of trying. two, reducing expenses. while the travel fares might be terrible, the meal costs would be cheaper i guess.. considering i'll heading to school to work.. haha. furthermore, with such a busy schedule, i won't be easily tempted to go out and spend like crazy. no time.. lol.

yeah, while the number of negative points are more than positive ones, they can be handled and i will be handling them soon anyway.

moving on, i got a sad news from fatbro last night as well. i learned that a junior of mine, his peer, has passed away couple of days back. apparently he spent his 21st birthday in a hospital before his body gave up. really sad but this came as a reminder that life can be really unpredictable.

reading week is up next. hopefully i can sprint in this final lap and end the sem, and the academic year, on a high note. until next time then, cheers.
