picking up

yes this is an update of my life.

back to internship after the reservist. still awaiting for my bonus cash from scoring in IPPT. still waiting for that text from MINDEF lol. that aside, there is more cash from elsewhere as well. got a text about the GST voucher as well. yeah.. i see it coming to me soon lol. and then there are the vouchers to mark 50 years of NS.

okay enough money talk. i am back in Biopolis picking up the pace of the project i am working on throughout my internship period. prior to reservist i have completed one project and though that one was simpler, the nature of the code and what not was very challenging without prior knowledge. from what i heard, there was suppose to be a computer science intern with me but then.. budget. so yeah painful struggle but was glad that it is over. back to the main project now, i am glad there is clearer direction to what is next.. unlike the last time i check and that we were still waiting for replies and inputs from people of other fields.

i apologise if details are rather vague but i can't discuss into specifics hence the generic terms and description. the week in reservist is quite timely as well. it marks the halfway point of this internship journey.

apart from being busy with the project, i am looking for a FYP supervisor as well. one of the many i have contacted is more or less likely to be my supervisor. being interested in biostatistics, epidemiology and public health, there are not many options.. very few faculty members in my department share similar interests. so i am really thankful to have found one who is very likely to be my supervisor. weekends are more precious when one is working. shall enjoy my Friday night and weekends. until next time then, cheers.

"holiday"

yes this is an update of my life.

guess i ought to update here as i wait for my hair to dry before heading into dreamland. well, happy Monday everybody. Singaporeans get to enjoy one more day of the weekend thanks to an in-lieu holiday.. perks of living in a multi-racial and multi-religious country.

feels as though i have not been to my internship for a very long time. well, one week is somewhat long in the busy life here in Singapore i guess. over the last week i was on "holiday", spending slightly more than half of the time serving my 2nd cycle of reservist. passed IPPT.. yeah to extra money, yeah to not watching diet for next 10 months or so, yeah to less personal training. okay, maybe annual IPPT is useful in keeping myself in a shape that i can still pass the test and not rot into a fat lump of meat or something.

been watching a lot of movies lately as well. summer period is a time where drama series aren't that "active" so to speak.. so i get to catch up on the movies that i wanted to watch over the last few months or so. heading out with the family in a few hours as well. then it will be the official end of my one week "holiday". Tuesday blues will be here, marking the start of a four-day work week. until next time then, cheers.
