yes this is an update of my life.
midway through this year's in-camp training. brain is almost dead and some parts of my body still aching a little.. signs of old age? nonetheless the past 5 days have been pretty good so far i guess. from meeting up with army buddies to eating good food together to clearing the bane of combat fit soldier, the IPPT test.
apart from those, the past week is more or less the little warm up for the next week where we will be back to doing simulated operations. quite a few things have changed and i am glad to say most of these changes are for the better.
of course, work do not stop just because i am in ICT. checked my work email couple of times to clear my inbox. glad i managed to do so since each time i did i had 50+. can't imagine if i wait until two Mondays from now to clear.. probably will be sandwiched by around 300 messages. still have quite a few things to update but shall keep them for tomorrow as my brain capacity for today only allow this much. until next time then, cheers.

wearing green
yes this is an update of my life.
the past week was a 4-days work week but the workload seemed to be a full 5-days one. i guess this was slightly due to the fact that i had to clear quite a few things before i am away from office for two weeks. managed to clear what i set out to do. however, towards the end i was made known that i will be taking on a new kind of project really soon. excited since this kind of project is something i hoped to work on someday even though i do not have some of the technical knowledge on it.
well, then you might ask how the hell am i going to take it on? for starters, i will not be the "main lead" in this project. next, i am expected to learn and pick up new things when i come back into office towards the end of June. school ended but learning never ends.
that said, the two weeks away is not because i am on a holiday. i am wearing green and heading to Nee Soon camp for this year's high key in-camp training. may i pass my fitness test easily, especially when i started training way later this year. once this in-camp training is done.. back to office learning new things and leading an initiative before slowly counting down to the real holiday in August. until next time then, cheers.

irregular sleep
yes this is an update of my life.
Europa League and Champions League finals. these two events have been the cause of my very irregular sleep pattern lately. nonetheless, those wee hours matches have not concluded and i can adjust back to the regular sleep pattern i usually have.
the Europa League final results definitely weren't something i like but the match was way better than the Champions League final. the latter match was pretty boring most of the time with both sides launching ridiculous and inaccurate long passes. neither side seemed to want to win as a team. throughout the game, only a small handful of players seem to be hungry to win the trophy and they include the goalkeepers. Europa League final, though goalless in first half, was way more exciting and interesting.
well then, apart from football, the past week have been weird to say the least. ad-hoc requests and many curveballs at work, erotic weather, mini surprise. let's talk about the last point.. Trevor Noah added a 2nd show in Singapore and i am headed there. yes, my friends and i managed to get seats following our previous miss. excited.. yet another great event to look forward to in August.
this week is yet another 4-day work week.. also the last week before i head into this year's reservist training. until next time then, cheers.
