yes this is an update of my life.
today was a rather eventful Sunday. exploring the neighbourhood as usual and also had a great dinner with the family and grandma. most Sundays that are eventful would always lead to a slight reluctance to head to bed due to the fact that i know when i wake up, my brain would need to be hard a t work for the next 5 days of work. however, today is different.. thanks to the public holiday tomorrow. extended weekend is always great. somehow i realised that having a weekend ending later is better than having a weekend starting earlier due to a couple of reasons.
no Monday blues. the feeling you have at the start of a work week is really different from that you have at the end of the week. just imagine the joy and stress level you have on Friday against Monday.. for sure Monday would have more stress and less joy. so having this day as an extend day to the weekday boost mood more.
the feel of ending of the weekend when it just begun. with Monday as the extended weekend day, the Sunday will not be the "weekend started yesterday and now work starts tomorrow" day. the joy of knowing you have an extra day off on Monday sort of feels much better.
come to think of it, from this week to the week i have my reservist, i will be on a 4-days work week each week. not bad.. smart use of public holidays and leave i guess. nonetheless, when i rest, no everyone rest. just hoping the emails and tasks won't be too overwhelming. until next time then, cheers.

costly weekend
yes this is an update of my life.
pardon my unannounced abrupt absence last weekend. did not update on the previous Sunday as i set out to do at least every week. nonetheless, this update will be for the previous weekend and yes based on the title you might more or less get the super summarised version of it. spent about $400 within the course of two days last weekend.
apart from the usual errands and tuition class last Saturday, i made a much needed trip to the motorcycle workshop for the usual servicing. apart from the usual cheap spare parts i knew i had to change the rear brakes. however, what i did not anticipate changing was some wiring that was causing my throttle to get stuck now and then. yeah dangerous but i did not take huge notice of it since i have somewhat got used to it and was able to work around it. nonetheless, got it fixed in the end.. now even the acceleration seems to be better than before. not sure if it was due to the fix though. all in all, the trip cost me $180.
then came Sunday. arranged a dental check-up at a new clinic. this check-up was much needed too since it has been quite a while since i last visited the dentist but this clinic was a new experience for me. long story short, the service was really good and thorough but it came at a price. no major procedures were carried out (mostly routine stuff) but it cost me $240.
can't believe my check-up at the dentist is way more costly than my motorcycle repair/servicing. thank goodness for the slight bonus i had recently. this weekend, though long, should be less costly. until next time then, cheers.

55
yes this is an update of my life.
nice date today.. coincidentally making up my favourite number. well then, on to the quick update since i am somewhat exhausted. attended cousin's afternoon wedding lunch earlier today but had to wake up slightly after 5am for the tea ceremony and many other customary things/practices.
i guess i am in a transit state where people around my age start getting married after started working for around 5 years or less. maybe some quicker ones are planning for a kid or having one. meanwhile, i am still happily supporting myself. there bound to be relatives and older folks asking about my personal life and i realised as many variations i can give, my answers tend to surround one common idea. finding a partner isn't a priority now and probably never.
i dont know if that thought is suppose to scare me or what not. nonetheless, we prompted further, i do say this idea/decision gives me peace of mind. at least i know i will not rush into something that might be bound to fail. i probably am putting more weight on logic rather than feelings. well then, interesting to see if this mindset sticks or not. regardless, i am sure i will not mind it. until next time then, cheers.
