edging closer

yes this is an update of my life.

hello July. well yet another month has somewhat flew by despite the fact that i am not in school.. yet. t is July and the admin stuff regarding the admission into NUS and what not has slowly begun to kick in. so many deadlines to take note. so many things to do. so many other things to worry about. nonetheless, i'm doing the best i can and really hope all will go through smoothly.

July. a month filled with yet more events and what not. World Cup final. the silly QET nonsense. faculty camp. hall camp. life definitely get busy by the day as i will be starting to work and study at the same time. time will be more precious than ever. really hope i can still hang out with all those people whom i hold dear before school starts and during school as well. next 3 to 4 years of education might be tough but i choose to believe i can emerge victorious.

cheers.

italian food

yesterday, or rather this morning at midnight, was yet another big match.. a real decisive one as well. Italy had to draw or win while Uruguay had to win to get their asses into the round of 16. Italy lost 1-0 to Uruguay at the end, heading home second World Cup in a row during the group stage. nonetheless, the game had a couple of controversies and what not. of all, the main one involved Suarez in yet another biting incident.

here is him tasting some italian food..

my respect for this guy is hanging by just a thread. yes, you are a good player with great skills and determination, having the ability to inspire a team but doing such acts is just disgusting and lacking sportsmanship.

the neighbourhood

everyone's primary schools are all nearby from where they live and of course, i was no exception. primary school was the six years where you foster the first few true life-long friendships. one get to start experiencing the life of a real student, having to juggle school work and CCA and luxury time. from then on, the load will the slowly increase in secondary school and poly/JC. primary school is where majority of your friends stay within 1km away from your house.

up to today i still stay in the house which i stay in when i was schooling in primary school. many of my primary school friends are as well. i realised this isn't exactly a bad thing but in fact this a rather interesting and good thing as well.

growing up after the primary school years, everyone venture into different secondary schools and some even travel over seas. despite the different lives we all live after the six years, at the end of the day we come home to a common neighbourhood. this is rather a blessing as once in a while, i would run into old friends and soon start chatting and catching. i see their parents too and one can also see, besides my parents, their parents are aging. well, i just guess this is all rather beautiful.

staying near to one another allows us to hang out once in a while for sports or meals or what not. we need not go through the hassle of finding a place to meet which is convenient for all of us for as we live in the same neighbourhood, the places we go can be decided quickly without much hassle of deciding which destination would not be a travel problem for all.

all in all, i'm glad i still remain here same as those years back then. i will always remain in the east.
