retail therapy not

after today's trip to town, i finally conclude yet another season of shopping for personal clothing and fashion accessories. hell no this isn't one of the retail therapy girls live to call whenever they go crazy shopping or what not. you see, every year i will at least have such a shopping season twice or thrice. one will just before ushering the new year. this is the time where i will buy some for the CNY period as well, consisting of more semi-formal and formal shirts, not forgetting footwear as well. the other one will be mid-year from June to August period. this is the time where i will normally buy more accessories and tees. the third one will come when i got extra money and wanting some things.

so yeah now you know my shopping habits. anyway, as i was talking earlier, the mid-year shopping season just ended. got two shirts, couple of fashion accessories, two pants. one of the shirt is still on delivery though. nonetheless, let's see the amount i spent for the last two and half weeks.

$12 + $30 + $12.50 + $35 = $89.50

wow quite a lot for me i guess. ohh wells, that explains why i went beyond the intended amount of expenditure for the last two months. pay day coming.. a relief. next month shall save more though i still want to get a new pair of glasses, probably a sunglass.

road to ORD

sorry girls.. i'm going to use this post to talk about NS.

anyway, now that the biggest "test" of my NS life is over and that i have spend decent amount of time and money to celebrate and spoil myself here and there, i'm back settled down. i'm back now settled down to look what's up next for me. hell yeah last few stretches of road to ORD. couple more of important operations and standby and training before i can finally meet up with my pink IC once again.

so during this time, i'l be trying to make full use of the NSF benefits, mainly the medical side and try to slack away from October onwards when all the shit will be passed on to the junior company. wisdom teeth surgery will be primary. now, i'm on course of arranging appointments that son will lead to the surgery in Changi General Hospital. next will see if i can remove my corns and warts for free. :)

technically i have about 100 working days to ORD. so good figure.

capture the feast

today's off day from the old and boring Seletar Camp was pretty food-filled. however, i would like to focus on the dinner trip with my platoon mates earlier this evening. we went to Kiseki Japanese Buffet Restaurant all the way at Somerset/Orchard area for dinner. i'm not here to talk about how nice the food is or how much fun i had eating and chilling with the awesome platoon mates. i'm here to talk about a social stigma.

yes, you read it right. social stigma. and this is the action of taking photos of food.

relax people, i know a lot of you are guilty of doing so but please take note that i do not refer to all of you. okay, i shall clarify the fact that i'm okay with people taking photos of their food that is sitting on their table in front of them right before one enjoy his or her dish. capturing your nice meals are like capturing pictures with your friends.. for memory sake. i'm okay with that.

what i'm not okay with is something i saw a couple of times today at that restaurant's buffet spread. there were a few people walking around the spread with their camera taking photos of the food up-close and as a group before they head over to take the plates to take their food. well, that sure left many other consumers pondering if they should let them take or just act as though those "cameramen"to finish taking. my point here is, while taking photos of your food is alright with me, i find doing to that extent and hindering many others is way overboard. seriously, if you want that, just head over to the restaurant's website and download snapshots of the dishes. i'm sure they have tons of it.
